Pwlldu Stream (AW004)

Taken just after sunrise in late December 2006 on Pwlldu beach, at NGR: SS57658710. The stream is normally easy to cross, but on this occasion it was in spate after heavy rainfall and my boots got soaked. The sunrise itself had been disappointing and I'd already started heading for home to warm my cold feet. I stopped to look at this stream as a possible future photo spot when the sun went behind a cloud and everything turned to gold. Very satisfying, and to think that I nearly didn't bother getting out of bed that morning. Olympus E500, 14-45 mm lens (at 14mm), Manfrotto tripod, 1/4 sec at F22. Original image in RAW format.
