This photo was taken in the afternoon on 4th November 2014 at NGR SN8031274561. The building is the No 2 crusher house. A comparison with photos taken as recently as 2006 (www.coflein.gov.uk) shows that these remains are continuing to collapse at an alarming rate. Mining has been carried out for lead, zinc and silver in this valley since Roman times, with production reaching its peak in the 18th century. Canon EOS 600D, Canon EF-S 17-85mm lens at 24mm, hand-held. Exposure F11 at 1/250 sec. Original image in Raw format.
