Skimming Stones (AW352)

Following in his father's footsteps; this is where I learned to skim stones when I was very young. This photo was taken in the afternoon on 8th March 2014, just before the sun disappeared behind the hill, where the Bishopston Valley stream becomes impounded by the bank of pebbles behind the beach at Pwlldu (NGR: SS5753287167). The strandline in the background shows the extent of recent flooding. Canon EOS 600D, Canon EF-S 17-85mm lens at 35mm. Exposure F5 at 1/500 sec. Original image in Raw format.
