Taken soon after sunrise on 31st December 2015 at NGR SS4693384609. The building was originally built in the early 16th century and was extended to become a saltworks later that century. Sea water was pumped from the large tanks at the front of the building to heated pans in the room above, where the water evaporated to leave the salt. The buildings were later used as cottages by quarrymen and oyster fishermen. Canon EOS 7D, Canon EF-S 10-22mm lens at 16mm, Manfrotto tripod. Exposure F11 at 1/13 secs.
