This photo was taken late in the afternoon on 26th February 2014 at NGR SN0604414727, a short mountain bike ride from the Bluestone National Park Resort where I was staying on a family holiday. Blackpool Mill, a former cornmill, stands next to a bridge over the Eastern Cleddau, approx. 1 km downstream of Canaston Road Bridge. It was built on the site of a former iron forge in 1813 by Nathaniel Phillips, the Owner of Slebach Estate. The mill was powered by a waterwheel until 1901, then by a water turbine. It fell into disuse after World War II and was later used for storing corn. Canon EOS 40D, Canon EF-S 55-250 mm lens at 84 mm, Manfrotto tripod. Exposure F8 at 1/13 secs. Original image in Raw format.
